You see a bad patch in the light from the window
A drywall repair fails visually long before it fails structurally. Compound built up too thick and feathered too narrow leaves a low dome that catches raking light from a window or a lamp, and no amount of paint hides it. Good repairs are built in thin coats over a wide area, sanded flat and checked with a light held against the wall — which is exactly how you will see them once the furniture is back.

- Water-damaged board cut out and replaced
- Ceiling repairs, including after leaks have been fixed
- Making good after electrical or plumbing access
- Texture matched where the surrounding wall is not flat
How the work runs
1. Find out why
A crack that keeps coming back has a cause. If it is movement or water we tell you, because otherwise you will be paying for the same repair again.
2. Build in thin coats
Backing where it is needed, then compound in thin passes feathered well beyond the damage, with drying time between coats.
3. Check under raking light
Sanded flat and inspected with a light held along the wall, which is the only way to know a repair will disappear once it is painted.
Drywall questions we get asked
Will I be able to see where the repair was?
Not if it is done properly. What gives a repair away is a build-up that is too thick and feathered too narrow. Thin coats over a wide area, sanded flat, is what makes it disappear.
Do you have to repaint the whole wall?
Often, yes, and we will be honest about it. Even a perfect repair can flash as a difference in sheen against paint that has been on the wall for years. Painting corner to corner is usually what gets you the invisible result you are picturing.
The same crack keeps coming back. Why?
Because something is still moving, or water is still getting in. Filling it again treats the symptom. Part of what we do is work out which of those it is before repairing it a third time.
Can you match a textured wall?
Yes. Texture matching is its own skill and it is what stops a patch on a textured wall reading as a smooth island. We test on a small area first.
